Acceptable replacement

When deciding on replacement ear pads, unfortunately you have to compromise. The original Bose pads are MUCH softer, both the foam and the butter-soft surface material, and in my opinion they are more comfortable. However, they have some serious flaws-they obviously start "shedding" after about 3 years, and become completely compressed and unusable after about 5 years (with fairly light use), plus they currently cost 2-3 times as much as these replacement pads. This replacement set appears to be a better economical value, considering both the price and the fact that the firmer materials seem like they will last longer than the factory ones. However, a "care tips" card that comes with them recommends: "Earpads are wear items, replace every 12 months to ensure peak sound isolation performance, cleanliness and comfort." While I disagree that 12 months is an acceptable life-span, I am guessing these will last a good bit longer than 12 months, and hopefully longer than the originals.When removing the adhesive tape backing for the inner cloth covers, be VERY careful to ensure you peel back JUST the backing and not the entire double-stick tape. I thought I was just pulling off the backing (as the tape is so gooey it leaves a sticky residue behind), but I accidentally removed and discarded the entire tape from my first set of covers. Make sure you actually see a piece of tape remaining when you split apart the white backing-you may have to use a sharp knife to do this.

Not as good as original

The ear pads for the Bose Quiet Comfort 15 headphones: looks ok, feels not so soft as the original. Arrival by mail is prompt. The seller posts some YouTube video on replacement instructions which is good.However, even with proper installation onto the headphone, the ability of the ear pads to shield environmental noise is substantially poorer then the original ear pads. Also, the ear pads are not as comfortable as the original ones as they are not as soft.Having said that, I have no objection in buying and using these pads at substantially lower price than the originals. But if I can choose again, I will probably buy the original ones instead of these replacements.

Replacement Earpads for Bose QC15 Headset

Quality of these earpads is excellent; only time will tell if they hold up well to the environment. Seller was upfront as to what to expect from his product and we were not disappointed with what was rcvd. When compared to the original product, the difference is very slight (comparison was done by replacing one pad first, and trying the phones on to look for differences in softness and how well the new pad sealed out noise.) Once both pads were replaced, it was difficult to tell the difference. Would purchase from and recommend this seller without hesitation.
