New life for my beloved headphones

I was not happy at the prospect of buying new Bose headphones, once the ear cushions starting falling apart. A quick search revealed that the ear cushions were replaceable! I had no idea.... ordered a set from Bose and they arrived quickly. The ear cushion set included new cloth pads along with well-written instructions. Five minutes later, my QC2 headphones were as good as new.I couldn't be more pleased... these were expensive headphones and I wasn't ready to give them up yet. These new ear cushions will allow me to get many more enyoable years out of my QC2 headphones. They were well-worth the money.

I was concerned that this were not the right cushions for my QC15, since the product details and the previous reviews only mention that these are compatible with QC2. Well, I took a shot and these cushions ended up being compatible with QC15 as well.After 1 year of intensive use of my QC15 headphones, the original cushions started to literally fall apart; first the "leather" cover ripped exposing the foam inside, then the foam itself started to break into smaller pieces. As a result the quality of the noise canceling dropped tremendously. I was not happy with the idea of having unusable 300 dollar headphones or with having to spend money again to replace the whole headphone unit because of the cushions. I saw third party solutions but the reviews were not convincing. I read one specific review stating that the quality of the noise canceling was not good as with the original cushions because those third party cushions don't isolate properly the noise from the outside. I couldn't find on Amazon replacement pads specifically for QC15. These have the have the same photo as in the Bose website, so I bough them. They turn out to be the exact replacement I needed. They also come with the piece of fabric that covers the inside of the headphones. The installation is easy: take the old cushions out and snap the new ones in place.TL,DR: They fit QC15s. They're good.

Good replacement ear cups and batting

This kit comes shipped in a small box, and includes the ear cups, a fabric covering for inside the ear cups you can optionally replace, and instructions.Installing the kit took less than five minutes, including removing the old ear cups. The ear cups just snap off, and the black fabric you see behind each of them (and you receive replacements for) is held in place with two small adhesive strips, again easily removed and inserted. I had the old cups off in a jiffy, and the new ones on fairly quickly.The ear cups snap into place, thanks to a cardboard rim around their back which you don't notice once they're in place. It took a few tries, but I finally got them to stay in place. If you're feeling brave, you might want to use something like a screwdriver to press the cardboard into place when you install the new ear cups, just to save a little time & effort.Pro:+ Looks just like the originals, and includes the black fabric components cover inside the ear cup as well as the ear cup+ Easy to install, and instructions are very clearCon:- I had a little trouble snapping the new ear cups into place, but even then took less than 5 minutes total for installation.This kit gave my QC2 a new lease on life at a tenth the price of a new pair, which made me incredibly happy!
